Il corso è articolato in lezioni frontali, presentazioni di casi studio e attività seminariali che prevedono il contributo attivo dei/delle partecipanti.

The lessons are organized as lectures, presentations of case studies and seminars that foresee the active involvement of the participants.

Modalità di verifica dell'apprendimento

Le studentesse e gli studenti dovranno produrre un format di divulgazione delle conoscenze apprese e dei temi proposti nelle lezioni tenute da Castello, Devecchi, De Martino. Tale format sarà poi oggetto di discussione in sede di esame orale in cui, inoltre, si verificherà la conformità del progetto presentato alle linee guida teoriche della Public History illustrate nella parte del corso tenuta del prof. Cuniberti e nella bibliografia indicata.
La tipologia del format è vincolata alle modalità di espressione della storytelling associato alla public history:
- video (da 5 e 10 min.)
- narrazione per immagini
- Podcast
- web
- Fumetti
- Role games
- videogame (realizzato o teorizzato)

The students will have to produce a format for the dissemination of the knowledge learned and the topics proposed in the lessons held by Castello, Devecchi, De Martino. This format will then be discussed during the oral exam in which
will be also examinate the theoretical guidelines of the Public History illustrated in the part of the course held by prof. Cuniberti and in the bibliography indicated.
The type of format is linked to the methods of expression of the storytelling associated with the public history:
- video (5 and 10 min.)
- narration by images
- Podcast
- web
- Comics
- Role games
- videogame (created or theorized)

Per la parte del Prof. Cuniberti: introduzione alla public history. Origine e prime pratiche contemporanee di un'idea antica? Discussione su alcuni contributi di S. Noiret

Per la parte del Prof. de Martino: l'uso politico del cultural heritage dell'Anatolia nella Turchia dal tardo impero ottomano alla repubblica di Turchia.

Per la parte della Prof.ssa Devecchi: da testimoni del passato a icone del presente. Come alcuni oggetti ed episodi della storia mesopotamica sono stati riletti e interpretati in funzione della storia nazionale e internazionale, alla luce di fatti di attualità e/o a scopo divulgativo.

Per la parte della prof.ssa Castello: L'uso politico della storia di Roma nel Novecento italiano e impatto nell'archeologia. Casi Studio: la public History e le donne da Boudicca a Elena Augusta.

For the part of Prof. de Martino: the political use of the Anatolian cultural heritage in Turkey from the late Ottoman time until the Republic of Turkey.

For the part of Prof. Devecchi: "from witnesses of the past to icons of the present". How some objects and episodes of Mesopotamian history have been re-read and interpreted according to national and international history, in light of current events and/or for dissemination purposes.

For the part of Prof. Castello: The political use of the history of Rome in the Italian twentieth century and its impact on archeology. Case Studies: Public History and Women from Boudicca to Augusta Helena .
